QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Evaluate web and mobile applications employing various methods, including automated regression suites, API validation, and exploratory testing of the application.

• Conduct risk-based exploratory testing to uncover significant defects beyond scripted assessments, ensuring that testing efforts are concentrated on the most critical areas.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts utilizing Playwright and Python.

• Assess the product along with its business and technical requirements to craft high-value test scenarios and scripts that serve as the basis for effective automation.

• Execute API testing using Postman, including the automation of API test processes.

• Work collaboratively with developers and product teams within an Agile/Scrum framework.

• Facilitate CI/CD testing procedures (GitLab CI).

• Document defects and track them using Jira, while recording findings in Confluence.

• Engage in the integration and daily utilization of AI testing tools (e.g., for test creation and defect analysis).

• Aid in enhancing QA processes and disseminate knowledge among team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience in software testing for commercial projects.

• High degree of ownership and a proactive approach.

• Outstanding critical thinking abilities and the capacity to articulate your testing rationale clearly.

• Practical experience in both manual and automated testing methodologies.

• Proficient knowledge of Playwright and Python for test automation.

• Extensive API testing experience with Postman (both manual and automated).

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitLab CI.

• Experience with test case management systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Effective time management skills with the ability to independently manage assigned tasks.

• Proficient in English communication skills (both spoken and written).

• Nice to have: practical experience with AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Junie).

• Experience in testing mobile applications (using real devices or device farms).

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• ISTQB Foundation or Advanced certification (or equivalent practical experience — we prioritize real-world testing skills over certifications).

• Experience in performance and/or security testing.

• Familiarity with AI/ML testing tools (e.g., intelligent test creation).
