QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.

📋 Description

• Take full responsibility for quality assurance in the Live Streaming & Content area: from requirements assessment to test planning, case design, execution, and release approval.

• Oversee cross-platform testing (App / Web / Backend / Admin), pinpointing end-to-end risks across the entire stack.

• Lead testing efforts for live streaming features: including stream initiation/completion, co-streaming, cross-room connections, playback, and compliance — addressing edge scenarios such as weak network conditions, stream interruptions, backgrounding, and high concurrency situations.

• Enhance and maintain our automation regression framework (utilizing Python, pytest, and k6).

• Work closely with Product Managers, engineers, compliance teams, and operations to swiftly address quality issues.

• Participate in AI-assisted testing initiatives and contribute to the team's knowledge repository.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of QA experience within internet, fintech, or content platform companies.

• Proven experience in live streaming testing (mandatory) — you've tested stream initiation, co-streaming, push/pull streaming, interactive features, and end-to-end playback.

• Familiarity with agile release cycles (2–3 week sprints, grey rollouts, full releases).

• Capability to independently manage test coverage and review test cases/code from others.

• Excellent cross-functional communication — you proactively identify risks, rather than just reporting bugs.

• Basic knowledge of Python automation — able to read, modify, and maintain existing test scripts (building from scratch is not required).

• A strong sense of ownership: you prioritize quality over merely achieving coverage metrics.
