This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ecuador.

📋 Description

• Lead and execute both manual and automated software development testing, applying international quality practices throughout the software lifecycle.

• Direct work teams, manage quality metrics in a cross-functional manner, and continuously enhance the automation of tests for both frontend and backend applications.

• Actively contribute to defining acceptance criteria for user stories and requirements.

• Design testing strategies and plans based on user stories, utilizing BDD format.

• Develop and execute functional and non-functional test cases.

• Manage defects and identify quality risks.

• Prepare the necessary documentation for test closure.

• Identify candidate flows for automation and implement automated tests for frontend (web and mobile) and backend (APIs and services) applications.

• Design and implement software quality metrics, such as bug counts, test coverage, and code quality.

• Oversee performance strategy and analyze its outcomes.

• Recognize, implement, and assess data analytics models.

• Manage and monitor OKRs and quality metrics across various levels (tribe, program, area, and work teams).

• Suggest changes and new functionalities based on test results.

• Participate in team agile practices events and ceremonies.

• Manage and lead work teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of experience.

• Proficient in managing and versioning with Jira (X-Ray).

• Familiarity with Confluence.

• Experience with Azure DevOps.

• Knowledge of GIT.

• Azure experience is desirable.

• Automated testing with Serenity BDD.

• Experience with ScreenPlay.

• Proficient in Gherkin / Cucumber.

• Knowledge of Karate.

• Familiarity with Appium.

• Experience with Robot Framework.

• Knowledge of Gradle.

• Familiarity with Maven.

• Performance testing experience with K6.

• Knowledge of JMeter.

• Familiarity with Rational Performance Tester.

• Experience with SQL databases.

• Knowledge of Oracle.

• Familiarity with DB2.

• Experience with PostgreSQL.

• Understanding of ISTQB Foundation Level processes and standards.

• ISTQB Advanced Tester certification.

• Experience with CI/CD and managing pipelines.

• Knowledge of quality risk analysis.

• Data analytics experience.
