QA Automation Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing suites for web applications and APIs.

• Build and execute end-to-end, integration, and regression test cases utilizing Cypress or Playwright.

• Conduct API-level testing using tools like Supertest, Postman, or similar frameworks.

• Collaborate with developers and product teams to grasp application workflows and testing needs.

• Analyze and navigate backend codebases to establish effective test coverage.

• Identify repetitive manual testing tasks and transform them into dependable automation scripts.

• Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment validation.

• Monitor test execution outcomes, troubleshoot failures, and uphold testing stability.

• Contribute to the enhancement of QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing best practices.

• Document test plans, test cases, and automation workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in writing automated tests within a JavaScript/TypeScript environment.

• Strong practical experience with Cypress or Playwright (experience with both is advantageous).

• Familiarity with API testing frameworks such as Supertest, Postman, or similar tools.

• Capability to read and navigate backend codebases for testing objectives.

• Experience with setting up or maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ideally using GitHub Actions.

• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and automation best practices.

• Experience in converting manual repetitive testing tasks into automated solutions.

• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments (Preferred).

• Familiarity with version control systems like Git (Preferred).

• Knowledge of performance or load testing tools is a plus (Preferred).

• Exposure to cloud-based development or deployment environments is beneficial (Preferred).
