This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.
• Assume full responsibility for the quality assurance process by designing and developing the automated testing framework.
• Gain an understanding of how a large, multi-repository system operates from the perspectives of clients, end-users, and internal operations.
• Update documentation of expected behavior where existing documentation is partially outdated.
• Create scenarios that are easily understandable in English using Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Develop automation solutions using JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Navigate the user interface through a page object model.
• Incorporate data-test-ids into React code where they are absent.
• Verify the correct state of the database using SQL.
• Update automated tests as new features are introduced.
• Contribute to upfront requirements as new features are being planned.
• Identify compliance, regulatory, and security considerations.
• Conduct exploratory testing to uncover incorrect product behaviors.
• Enhance reliability and facilitate quicker, safer releases through automation.
• Accurately reproduce multi-step defects and identify edge cases.
• Establish a repeatable, documented QA process from an inconsistent foundation.
• Assess how the system should function from multiple user perspectives and identify potential failure points.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in QA or test automation, with practical knowledge of TypeScript or JavaScript.
• At least 4 years of hands-on coding experience in test automation using TypeScript or JavaScript.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in BDD test authoring with Cucumber and Gherkin.
• At least 3 years of web UI test automation experience utilizing a page object model, preferably with Playwright.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in end-to-end QA ownership, including defining, documenting, building, and maintaining tests.
• At least 3 years of experience in requirements analysis and effective stakeholder communication.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in SQL querying to validate database states using MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• At least 3 years of experience in exploratory testing and precise reproduction of multi-step defects.
• Ability to drive automation initiatives and take ownership of the build process with minimal guidance.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly in identifying edge cases and gaps in specifications.
• Required hands-on experience in JavaScript or TypeScript automation coding; willingness to learn is not sufficient.
• Proficiency in creating English-readable scenarios in Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Nice-to-have: Experience in mobile app testing and automation, specifically with Flutter apps.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Appium or Flutter integration_test.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with React front-end code.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Angular, Vue, or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Nice-to-have: Awareness of security and regulatory standards, including ISO 27001, GDPR, or NHS DTAC.
• Nice-to-have: Experience in a regulated or audited environment.
• Nice-to-have: Testing experience in ISO 13485 medical-device regulated environments.
• Nice-to-have: Background in medtech, fintech, or NHS/DTAC.
• Nice-to-have: Experience in healthtech or the digital health domain.
• Nice-to-have: Comfort in utilizing AI within the engineering workflow.
