QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Develop detailed test plans prior to feature development, outlining both manual and automated testing strategies.

• Conduct hands-on manual testing throughout development cycles to ensure new features are validated before automation takes place.

• Maintain a balance between manual exploratory testing and automation to identify edge cases that automated scripts may overlook.

• Work collaboratively with engineers, product managers, and designers to establish quality assurance processes for a critical trading platform.

• Oversee automation projects from start to finish: including strategy, implementation, CI/CD integration, and expanding coverage.

• Lead performance, security, and accessibility testing efforts to provide an exceptional experience for traders.

• Actively document, report, and prioritize bugs to enhance the quality and speed of releases.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient programming skills in Python, Rust, or another language focused on automation.

• Knowledge and experience in trading, including understanding order types, trade execution, margin trading, and general financial markets (while we will support you in deepening your expertise, a basic understanding is crucial).

• Demonstrated ability to create comprehensive test plans ahead of implementation, distinguishing between what requires manual testing and what can be automated.

• Experience in designing, implementing, and sustaining test automation frameworks for complex applications.

• Strong manual testing abilities and a creative mindset to discover edge cases and unforeseen bugs.

• Thorough understanding of QA principles, including exploratory testing, regression testing, and bug tracking.

• Familiarity with CI/CD integration and large-scale automation.

• Detail-oriented with a passion for producing high-quality software and the ability to think innovatively.
