QA Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive manual exploratory testing for new features while developing automated test scripts.

• Create and sustain automated test suites utilizing Playwright or Selenium.

• Engage in agile ceremonies to offer the QA viewpoint.

• Work in collaboration with engineers and product managers to define acceptance criteria and assess testability.

• Execute exploratory testing to identify edge cases and usability challenges.

• Evaluate test outcomes, pinpoint bugs, and coordinate with developers for prompt resolution.

• Investigate defects and determine root causes.

• Promote shift-left testing and ongoing enhancements in quality processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Over 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, emphasizing automation.

• Experience in both manual and automated testing processes.

• Proficient with Playwright or Selenium.

• Experience in integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.

• Skilled in at least one programming or scripting language.

• Strong understanding of agile methodologies with a shift-left approach.

• Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities.

• Preferred: experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.

• Preferred: familiarity with BDD, including Gherkin or Cucumber.

• Preferred: knowledge of performance or integration testing.

• Preferred: experience with test management and defect tracking tools like Jira or TestRail.

• Preferred: understanding of API testing tools.
