QA Automation Engineer, Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• You will take ownership of quality assurance in the Accounting sector — an expanding field currently without dedicated QA resources.

• Your responsibilities will include covering new features and regression testing, minimizing production risks, and developing automated test coverage for essential financial processes.

• Design, maintain, and execute test cases for Accounting services and their integrations.

• Conduct both manual and automated testing of vital accounting functionalities.

• Ensure data integrity across APIs, messaging systems, databases, and file-based workflows.

• Analyze test outcomes, logs, and database records to detect defects and assist with investigations.

• Collaborate closely with Developers and DevOps to enhance test automation tools and environments.

• Contribute to the test strategy and propose enhancements to the QA and automation methods.

• Communicate testing status, risks, and issues with clear insights into quality for the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in QA Automation.

• Proficiency in API testing (both manual and automated) using Java or Kotlin.

• Experience in testing financial platforms such as banks, brokers, exchanges, or similar entities.

• Strong understanding of integration testing across APIs, messaging systems, databases, and file workflows.

• Good SQL skills with the ability to validate data in databases.

• Capability to analyze logs, investigate defects, and determine root causes.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and precisely explain complex issues.
