QA Automation Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create, enhance, and uphold scripts aimed at automating deployment processes and code testing within a CI/CD pipeline.

• Diagnose production code issues and develop appropriate solutions.

• Support application development efforts as required.

• Create, enhance, and uphold automated test scripts utilizing Selenium WebDriver.

• Embed automated tests within CI/CD pipelines for ongoing testing.

• Work collaboratively with manual testers, developers, and product teams to pinpoint automation opportunities.

• Run automated test suites and evaluate results to detect defects.

• Revise and update automation frameworks and test scripts to reflect application modifications.

• Document automation scripts, test outcomes, and defects.

• Engage in test planning and review meetings.

• Provide regular status updates.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidate should possess experience at an expert level.

• Proficient in Java programming.

• Expertise in hardware automation scripting.

• Proven experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks including Page Object Model, Data-Driven, or Keyword-Driven approaches.

• Familiar with integrating automated tests utilizing TestNG.

• Capable of managing flaky tests and re-running failed test cases.

• Experience with test management and defect tracking systems such as JIRA or ADO.

• Proficient in version control systems like Git.

• Strong practical experience in developing automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.

• Well-versed in SDLC and STLC principles.

• Excellent analytical skills for troubleshooting automation scripts and determining root causes of failures.

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Preferred: experience with Cucumber or other automation tools and frameworks.

• Preferred: knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter.

• Preferred: familiarity with containerization and cloud-based testing environments.

• Preferred: experience with database validation using SQL.

• Preferred: exposure to Agile development methodologies.
