This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Engage in the refinement of user stories, craft testing specifications, execute tests, and document software defects as a member of an Agile product delivery team.
• Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to comprehend testing needs.
• Develop test cases and assist in the formulation of test plans.
• Establish and implement testing procedures for both new and existing products.
• Examine product specifications to pinpoint gaps and concerns related to testability.
• Facilitate product deployment through quality validation.
• Conduct regression, functional, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, validate, and confirm the resolution of software defects.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers during Agile sprints.
• Take part in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning and release readiness activities.
• Generate test data for designated testing tasks.
• Contribute to the continuous enhancement of QA standards, tools, and procedures.
• Assist in test automation initiatives where applicable.
• Validate the functionality, quality, and production readiness of technological solutions that support Yearbook manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related technical field; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience, encompassing internships, academic projects, or other early-career exposure.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
• Exposure to or knowledge of industry-standard testing and defect tracking tools, such as Jira.
• Fundamental understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Basic comprehension of quality assurance methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of Agile software delivery practices.
• Basic insight into test planning and execution processes.
• Basic awareness of defect lifecycle management.
• Capability to develop test cases and associated test scenarios.
• Skill in executing manual software testing across web applications and integrated systems.
• Proficiency in utilizing Jira or other industry-standard defect tracking and test management tools.
• Ability to analyze application behavior and document identified defects.
• Strong analytical skills, root cause analysis, risk assessment, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Adaptability to changing priorities, technologies, and solution strategies.
• Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
