This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee, +1 more state.
• Engage in refining user stories, drafting testing specifications, executing tests, and documenting software defects as part of an Agile product delivery team.
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to grasp testing needs.
• Develop test cases and assist in formulating test plans.
• Establish and implement testing processes for both new and existing products.
• Analyze product specifications to identify gaps and concerns regarding testability.
• Validate products to ensure successful deployment into production.
• Conduct regression testing during standard release cycles.
• Collaborate with software and product designers to set quality assurance parameters.
• Evaluate business and technical requirements for their testability.
• Generate test data for designated testing tasks.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, and validate software defects.
• Confirm defect resolution and validate fixes prior to deployment.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers throughout Agile sprints.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning and release readiness activities.
• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of QA standards, tools, and processes.
• Support test automation initiatives wherever applicable.
• Validate the functionality, quality, and production readiness of technology solutions that support the Yearbook manufacturing lifecycle.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related technical discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience, including internships, academic projects, or other early-career experiences.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
• Exposure to or familiarity with industry-standard testing and defect tracking tools, such as Jira.
• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Basic understanding of quality assurance methodologies.
• Basic understanding of Agile software delivery.
• Basic understanding of test planning and execution.
• Basic understanding of defect lifecycle management.
• Capability to develop test cases and associated test scenarios.
• Proficiency in executing manual software testing across web applications and integrated systems.
• Ability to utilize Jira or other industry-standard defect tracking and test management tools.
• Skill in analyzing application behavior and documenting observed defects.
• Strong analytical thinking, root cause identification, risk assessment, and attention to detail.
• Adaptability to changing priorities, technologies, and solution methodologies.
• Effective written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage assigned testing tasks and priorities, delivering high-quality work within release timelines.
