QA Analyst, Databricks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Uruguay.

📋 Description

• Ensure the quality, reliability, and consistency of data across contemporary data platforms.

• Validate data pipelines and establish automated quality assurance checks.

• Collaborate extensively with Data Engineering and business units.

• Design and execute a data quality framework across Bronze, Silver, and Gold tiers.

• Develop and sustain automated data quality checks within Databricks pipelines.

• Manage reconciliation between source systems and Databricks layers.

• Validate identity resolution results in the Silver tier.

• Conduct end-to-end testing of data pipelines.

• Team up with Data Engineers to determine acceptance criteria for each sprint.

• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) involving client business stakeholders.

• Document all QA procedures, test outcomes, and data quality insights.

• Monitor the health of pipelines after deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with Azure-based data platforms, including Databricks.

• Strong comprehension of data quality frameworks and testing methodologies for data pipelines.

• Experience in validating ETL/ELT processes and working with layered architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold).

• Proficient SQL skills with experience in analyzing large datasets.

• Experience in implementing automated data validation and reconciliation processes.

• Familiarity with data pipeline monitoring, alerts, and troubleshooting.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with Data Engineers and business stakeholders.

• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Experience in documenting QA procedures and results in an organized manner.

• Over 3 years of experience in QA, Data Engineering, or Data Quality roles.
