Python/GenAI Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Integrate with the client team throughout the engagement, operating within their environment rather than from a distance.

• Engage with the individuals whose work the system is designed to enhance before architecting the system, ensuring that the design aligns with actual workflows.

• Develop clean, production-ready Python code for AI integrations, backend services, and RESTful APIs utilizing Flask, Django, or FastAPI.

• Design, construct, and enhance production-ready RAG systems and agentic AI solutions.

• Take ownership of system design and architecture decisions throughout the engagement, including choices between microservices and monolithic architectures, synchronous and event-driven designs, and SQL versus NoSQL databases.

• Lead the technical direction from the discovery phase through to delivery.

• Serve as the primary technical contact for the client, presenting architectural designs, justifying trade-offs, and assessing scope against timelines and budgets.

• Assist in presales activities, including discovery calls, crafting technical proposals, scoping, and delivering client-facing demonstrations.

• Conduct architecture reviews, create technical design documents, and contribute to Python practice standards.

• Incorporate insights gained from engagements into Provectus's blueprint library.

• Mentor engineers, oversee code reviews, and disseminate knowledge within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in building and maintaining production systems; hands-on production experience is essential.

• Proven experience with live RAG systems and LLM-based agentic workflows.

• Backend development experience with frameworks such as Flask, Django REST, or FastAPI.

• Recent hands-on experience with AWS services, including SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, S3, SQS, or ECR; GCP experience is also considered.

• Familiarity with LLM APIs, including OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, or AWS Bedrock.

• Strong proficiency in Python, encompassing OOP, design patterns, clean architecture, and performance optimization.

• Proven ability to make and justify system design and architectural trade-off decisions.

• Capability to maintain direct communication with client stakeholders.

• Willingness to collaborate closely with end users prior to system design and comfort with engagements that are not fully specified.

• Strong testing practices using pytest, mocking, and integration tests for AI systems.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Understanding of LLM evaluation techniques and quality assurance methodologies.

• Experience in deploying and maintaining AI/ML models in production settings.

• Regular use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Copilot.

• Proactive and self-motivated approach, taking ownership of outcomes from start to finish.

• B2+ English proficiency and the ability to collaborate effectively across distributed, multicultural teams.
