Python Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Develop client code that is not only efficient but also high-performing, testable, scalable, secure, and of the utmost quality.

• Ensure the security of code through Software Composition Analysis (SCA), leading remediation efforts through triaging, prioritization, remediation, and verification.

• Provide accurate tracking, reporting, and estimation of project status using relevant methods and tools.

• Collect requirements, validate the team's understanding, and create and maintain important documentation.

• Perform tasks in accordance with the existing methodology while upholding the highest quality standards.

• Promote collaboration with fellow engineers, designers, and managers to understand user challenges and iterate on solutions that enhance client success.

• Take full ownership of projects, from technical design through to a successful launch.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven expertise with a minimum of 4+ years of experience in Python, REST API, and SQL.

• Proficient with Git source control tools (such as Github, Gitlab, or others).

• Experience with unit testing frameworks (Pytest).

• Intermediate design proficiency adhering to UML / C4 / ArchiMate standards.

• Background in engineering software systems of medium to large scope and complexity.

• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.

• Proficient in working with relational databases.

• Experience in developing frontend and backend applications at scale.

• Fluent in the English language.
