Python Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Guatemala.

📋 Description

• Develop client-side code that is not only efficient but also high-performing, testable, scalable, secure, and of exceptional quality.

• Ensure the security of code through Software Composition Analysis (SCA) and lead the remediation process through triaging, prioritization, remediation, and verification.

• Provide reliable status tracking, reporting, and estimation using project management methods and tools.

• Collect requirements, confirm understanding within the team, and create and maintain pertinent documentation.

• Carry out tasks within the established methodology while adhering to the highest quality standards.

• Promote collaboration with other engineers, designers, and managers to understand user challenges and iterate on solutions that enhance client success.

• Take responsibility for projects, from the technical design phase to a successful launch.

• Participate in code reviews to uphold code quality and consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven expertise with a minimum of 4+ years of experience in Python, REST API, and SQL.

• Proficient in using Git source control tools (Github, Gitlab, or others).

• Experience with unit testing frameworks (Pytest).

• Intermediate design skills following UML / C4 / ArchiMate standards.

• Experience in developing software systems of medium to large scale and complexity.

• Familiarity with Agile software development practices.

• Proficient in working with relational databases.

• Experience in building frontend and backend applications at scale.

• Strong proficiency in the English language.
