Python Game Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and improve 3D game simulations and environments using Panda3D to facilitate AI training.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions.

• Create, maintain, and debug Python and C++ codebases that are integrated with the Panda3D engine.

• Engage in version control practices via GitHub to ensure smooth collaboration within the team.

• Ensure cross-platform compatibility and optimal performance across a variety of hardware configurations.

• Thoroughly document architectural decisions, code, and workflows to aid team development processes.

• Actively participate in code reviews, brainstorming sessions, and team discussions, showcasing strong verbal and written communication skills.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in Panda3D development; proficiency in other engines is not considered a substitute.

• Advanced understanding of Python and C++ programming languages.

• Skilled in using GitHub for source code management, including branching and pull request processes.

• Comprehensive knowledge of 3D graphics pipelines, simulation mechanics, and development across various platforms.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; meticulous documentation and effective teamwork are crucial.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while adhering to deadlines with minimal supervision.

• Strong attention to detail coupled with a proactive problem-solving approach.

• Prior experience in game development focused on AI, simulation, or training applications (preferred).

• Familiarity with optimizing 3D assets to improve performance on different hardware (preferred).

• Experience working in collaborative, distributed Agile team settings (preferred).
