
PWS Operations Engineer – Imaging, Biomed Experience Preferred

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for Predictive Work Systems (PWS) Operations team members, clinical engineering groups, biomedical technicians, and hospital IT departments.
• Oversee the implementation of remote-monitoring solutions across various healthcare systems and types of medical devices.
• Manage hardware setup, software configuration, and connectivity tasks alongside field technicians and hospital IT teams.
• Grasp the system architecture and infrastructure environment to effectively resolve technical challenges.
• Handle patching and access controls for remote monitoring servers.
• Uphold standard operating procedures (SOPs) and troubleshooting documentation.
• Conduct training sessions and mentor field personnel to minimize support interventions.
• Spearhead the creation of new principles and concepts while implementing policies, procedures, and standards.
• Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and cost reduction.
• Ensure continuous adherence to HIPAA, ISO 27001, ISO 13485, SOC2, and pertinent hospital security regulations.
• Methodically trace issues across monitoring servers, hospital networks, cloud infrastructure, and medical device hardware & software to determine whether problems are user-related, procedural, environmental, or systemic.
• Address highly variable, site-specific challenges in hospital settings, swiftly adjusting methods and tools while upholding stringent analytical standards.
• Transform incident knowledge into monitoring protocols, automation scripts, or standard operating procedures.
• Decisions and actions frequently impact the work of fellow team members and various business processes/customer outcomes.
• Assign configuration tasks and on-site responsibilities to field technicians, vendors, or junior engineers, providing clear guidance and validating outcomes.
• Balance incident response, project timelines, and support/maintenance tasks with minimal oversight.
• Liaise with IT Management, Clinical Engineering Management, and hospital IT, management, and staff regarding status updates and decisions to influence results.
• Facilitate meetings, training, and support sessions with partners to achieve alignment and progress on complex initiatives.
• Offer guidance to less experienced team members.
• Create and deliver presentations and communications to colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• A minimum of three years of experience in systems engineering or clinical engineering is essential.
• Experience in a clinical healthcare environment is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills are required.
• Understanding of Medical Device & Healthcare Standards.
• Proficiency in Remote Support.
• Knowledge of Networking and Connectivity.
• Experience with Server Administration.
• Skills in Automation & Scripting.
• Familiarity with Cybersecurity & Compliance.
• Knowledge of Systems Development Lifecycle (preferred).
• Experience in Project & Stakeholder Management.
