Purchasing & Inventory Control Coordinator – SAST, PST Hours

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Generate and monitor purchase orders within the inventory management system.

• Manage receipts and ensure precise log entries as inventory transitions through the system.

• Reconcile outstanding POs over time, as items may arrive partially, be substituted, or change over weeks or months.

• Handle data imports from various sources and allocate costs correctly.

• Address third-party inquiries regarding inventory status (sold, scrapped, leased, consigned).

• Maintain exception logs and identify discrepancies.

• Assist with recosting activities and collaborate with the purchasing team to keep records updated.

• Process additions, removals, and status updates in the inventory system.

• Support scrap and change order processing.

⛳️ Requirements

• A candidate who is adept at working across multiple systems and data sources simultaneously.

• Exceptional attention to detail is critical — this position involves numerous moving components where accuracy is vital.

• Comfort with structured data entry workflows and familiarity with inventory or purchasing systems is necessary.

• Ability to prioritize competing tasks without losing focus.

• Proficiency in Excel — essential for reconciliations and data management.

• Strong communication skills — must be capable of reporting back to third parties in a professional manner.

• Prior experience in purchasing coordination, inventory management, or equipment operations is advantageous.

• Familiarity with ERP or inventory systems is a bonus.

• Background in accounting or finance (AP/AR experience is valued for potential future scope expansion).

• CPA or bookkeeping experience.

• Experience in reconciling two-report comparisons.
