Public Sector Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Organize and manage a designated public-sector consulting workstream from initiation to completion.

• Ensure alignment of scope, timeline, agency reviewers, and deliverables.

• Transform agency interviews and source materials into a draft for agency review.

• Monitor decisions, outstanding items, and the rationale behind each recommendation.

• Collaborate with specialist contributors while ensuring their contributions are not misrepresented as your own.

• Provide input on staffing strategy and past-performance narratives for proposals only when authorized to do so.

• Identify scheduling or access issues promptly enough to allow for adjustments to the plan.

• Engage in agency studies, implementations, and related consulting projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in managing a public-sector study, system implementation, or multi-workstream consulting project through to completion.

• A portfolio of written deliverables that were actually received by an agency, rather than just facilitation records.

• Comfortable coordinating with subject-matter experts and agency personnel.

• Ability to articulate the agency's context, your role, and the outcomes of at least two engagements.

• Experienced as a 1099 project-based collaborator, willing to travel for client meetings as needed.

• Preferred: Experience working with cities, counties, school districts, utilities, or special districts.

• Preferred: Background in classification, compensation, organizational, ERP, or grants consulting engagements.
