Public Health API Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of API and integration architecture for complex implementations.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers.

• Influence the movement of data between systems relied upon by public health teams daily.

• Foresee client needs that have not yet been articulated.

• Challenge designs that may not withstand production demands.

• Champion the interests of end users dependent on these systems.

• Contribute to the development of our PH360 platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of direct experience in API development and systems integration at a senior level.

• 1-3 years of experience with a governmental public health agency (local, state, federal, or tribal).

• Solid backend engineering expertise in Java, Python, Node.js, or a similar programming language.

• Familiarity with Agile or SAFe methodologies.

• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities.

• Proven history of mentoring or advising less experienced engineers, including across different organizational boundaries.
