This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Networking: Develop and nurture relationships with policymakers, ministries, and educational authorities, particularly at the federal state level.
• Representation: Act as a representative for sofatutor at conferences, trade fairs, public events, and in various committees.
• Monitoring and strategy development: Keep track of regulatory and policy changes, and provide strategic recommendations for our team and the organization.
• Sales & negotiation: Engage in direct sales of our educational products to federal states, school authorities, and municipal education providers, successfully negotiating product options and contract terms.
• Political communication: Create position papers, briefings, and materials for political communication.
• Strong background in Public Affairs, Government Relations, political communication, or a related field, preferably with experience in the (digital) education sector.
• Confident in engaging with political decision-makers and public institutions, with a clear understanding of their decision-making processes.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex issues clearly and succinctly to various target audiences.
• Enjoy networking and a willingness to represent sofatutor through presentations and participation in panel discussions.
• Ability to travel within Germany for regular representation of sofatutor at trade fairs or other networking events (approximately 1–2 times per month).
• Native-level proficiency in German and good command of English for internal communication.
• Familiarity with relevant education-policy institutions and processes (KMK, federal government, ministries of education, state school laws) is a plus.
• Flexibility: Flexible working hours, a remote-first working model, and the opportunity to work from within the EU for up to 180 days per year.
