Psychotherapist, LGBTQ+ Specialty

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct phone consultations.

• Offer psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, partnerships of three or more, and families.

• Manage a full-time caseload of around 28–30 clients, with 25 completed sessions per week regarded as full-time; smaller caseloads of 20–24 may be feasible.

• Maintain a part-time caseload of approximately 18 clients.

• Keep detailed case notes, logs, and necessary documentation.

• Provide group therapy when required.

• Optionally write a blog four times a year.

• Engage in weekly or biweekly individual supervision and participate in available weekly group clinical supervision.

• Assist in the creation and implementation of G&STC workshops, training, and seminars.

• Carry out marketing tasks for oneself and G&STC as needed or desired.

⛳️ Requirements

• Hold an LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-R, MHC, or LMHC license in New York.

• Reside in New York or New Jersey.

• Commit to a minimum of three years with G&STC.

• Have education, training, and demonstrated success in implementing modalities such as CBT, IFS, mindfulness, trauma-informed practices, somatic treatments, and psychodynamic psychotherapy.

• Possess at least one year of experience in assessment, treatment planning, and providing psychotherapy.

• Have at least one year of experience delivering individual, couples, multiple-partner relationship, and/or family therapy.

• Demonstrate at least one year of experience providing therapy to LGBTQ+, kinky, and non-monogamous individuals.

• Hold at least one year of experience addressing sexual-related issues, including sexual anxiety, functioning, pain, and compulsive behaviors.

• Exhibit high competence in gender, sex, and sexuality, with expertise in relevant LGBTQ+, alternative sexuality, and sexual-related matters.

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Be organized and capable of submitting progress notes and responding to emails promptly in accordance with G&STC policies.

• Therapists with their own private practices or those working in another group practice will not be considered.
