Psychologist Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Authorize, oversee, and evaluate care for behavioral health and/or substance abuse issues based on clinical information provided by healthcare professionals and internal criteria for medical necessity and appropriateness of care.

• Conduct peer reviews alongside psychologists, behavioral health therapists, and/or Board Certified Behavior Analysts for outpatient services and/or requests for psychological testing.

• Collaborate with network practitioners to educate them on best practice models and utilization management processes.

• Engage with the Medical Director, or their designee, to address clinical authorization inquiries and concerns regarding specific cases.

• Address state, provider, and member complaints pertaining to psychological testing or other services that necessitate review by a PhD/PsyD.

• Facilitate outpatient rounds, providing clinical insights and oversight related to outpatient services.

• Perform additional duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with all policies and standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Behavior Analysis, or a related field is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in Behavioral Health is required.

• Required working knowledge of psychological tests and testing procedures, diagnostic evaluations, and evidence-based practices.

• For ABA Reviewers only, a working knowledge of psychological tests and testing procedures, diagnostic evaluations, and evidence-based practices tailored for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder is required.

• PSY - Psychologist Unrestricted License (PhD or PsyD) is required upon hire.

• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or BCBA-D is preferred upon hire.
