Psychiatrist Physician Reviewer – PRN

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Facilitate peer-to-peer consultations among physicians as needed, ensuring documentation of all interactions.

• Offer clinical insights in the planning and establishment of objectives and policies aimed at enhancing clinical operations.

• Act on behalf of the organization during state appeal processes.

• Analyze trends, experiences, and methodologies in medical information to aid in formulating strategic plans for clinical enhancements.

• Represent the program at meetings focused on stakeholder engagement.

• Guarantee adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.

• Monitor and stay updated on national, state, and local regulations and legislation affecting the healthcare sector.

• Advocate for and represent Acentra Health at seminars, professional societies, medical staff meetings, and other relevant professional venues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a Licensed Physician (MD/DO) authorized to practice across all branches in Illinois.

• Board Certification in Psychiatry is required.

• Must be actively engaged in medical practice.

• Admitting or staff privileges at one or more hospitals or state facilities in Illinois are necessary.

• Experience in Utilization Management, along with Case and Disease Management, and familiarity with Medicaid and Medicare programs.

• Understanding of practice standards related to determining levels of care.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
