This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses for children, adolescents, and young adults.
• Create individualized treatment plans and manage medications that cater to the specific needs of each patient.
• Dedicate adequate time to patients and their families to deeply understand their experiences, educate them on treatment options, and provide continuous support.
• Track patient progress relative to care objectives, modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure favorable outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with therapists and other healthcare professionals to develop integrated treatment plans that encompass the entire child.
• Offer consultation and education to patients and their families, assisting them in comprehending diagnoses, treatment alternatives, and ways to support their child's mental health journey.
• Supervise diagnostic testing, including digital and laboratory results. Collaborate with the administrative team to manage refills, prior authorizations, records, and rescheduling. Maintain comprehensive, HIPAA-compliant patient documentation.
• Active PMHNP license in Virginia.
• At least 2 years of experience working autonomously in the capacity of a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults under any nursing license.
• Board Certification from ANCC or AANP (PMHNP-BC).
• DEA license and State Prescriptive Authority License.
• Access to a computer, phone, and high-speed internet.
• Familiarity with Google Suite, EHR systems, and technology.
• Availability to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week.
