Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, MD License – PMHNP, Contract/1099

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Deliver Comprehensive Psychiatric Care: Perform extensive psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnoses for children, adolescents, and young adults. Create tailored treatment plans and manage medications to meet the individual needs of each patient.

• Foster Meaningful Therapeutic Relationships: Dedicate adequate time to engage with patients and their families to thoroughly understand their experiences, educate them on treatment options, and provide continuous support. Establish connection and trust that keeps patients involved in their care journey.

• Promote Patient Progress & Safety: Track patient progress in relation to care objectives, modifying treatment plans as necessary to ensure favorable outcomes. Take proactive measures to maintain patient safety, intervening promptly when issues arise.

• Collaborate for Integrated Care: Partner closely with therapists and other healthcare professionals to formulate comprehensive treatment plans that focus on the whole child. Communicate and involve families when appropriate to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.

• Educate & Empower Families: Offer consultation and education to patients and their families, aiding them in understanding diagnoses, treatment options, and ways to support their child's mental health journey.

• Ensure Clinical Excellence & Compliance: Supervise diagnostic testing, including digital and lab results. Collaborate with the administrative team to manage refills, prior authorizations, records, and scheduling. Maintain detailed, HIPAA-compliant patient records and documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid PMHNP license in Maryland

• At least 2 years of experience working independently as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner

• A minimum of 1 year of experience with children, adolescents, or young adults under any nursing license

• Board Certification by ANCC or AANP (PMHNP-BC)

• DEA license and State Prescriptive Authority License

• Autonomous Practice Status

• Access to a computer, phone, and high-speed internet

• Familiarity with Google Suite, EHR systems, and technology

• Commitment to a minimum of 10 hours per week.
