This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver nurse practitioner services focused on outcomes, which include screening, medical care, routine and acute evaluations, chronic condition assessments, immunizations, diagnosis, treatment, and counseling.
• Identify and manage common acute illnesses, chronic conditions, and minor injuries in accordance with established protocols, clinical practice guidelines, Nurse Practice Acts, and/or physician consultation.
• Encourage preventive care and health maintenance through annual check-ups, health behavior advice, self-care education, and counseling.
• Address operational stress, brain health, mission readiness, and preventive care for service members and their families in Special Operations Forces.
• Effectively convey mental health concepts to elite operators.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams, command stakeholders, local leadership, clients, and family members.
• Offer command consultation based on non-identifiable morale and behavioral health trends.
• Provide technical guidance and evidence-based training to staff, including lectures and in-service education.
• Identify conditions that necessitate isolation and implement universal precautions.
• Participate in staff meetings to discuss cases, engage in continuing education, quality improvement, and safety initiatives.
• Carry out assigned case reviews, determinations, technical issue resolutions, fact summaries, research, proposal drafting, liaison work, and other responsibilities as directed.
• Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of experience OR an Associate's degree with 5–7 years of experience.
• Master’s degree in nursing from a program accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
• At least 5 years of post-graduate experience in independent clinical psychiatric nursing practice.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Department of War or Department of Veterans Affairs environment.
• A current, full, active, and unrestricted professional nursing license in the U.S.
• Board certification as a PMHNP through ANCC, AANP, or another recognized national nursing certification body.
• Familiarity with military culture and operational stressors relevant to the SOF operator community.
• Expertise in treating post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injuries, and chronic pain.
• Active Secret clearance at a minimum.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection.
