Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive psychiatric services to children, adolescents, and young adults via telehealth.

• Perform thorough psychiatric assessments and create diagnostic formulations.

• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.

• Prescribe and oversee psychotropic medications, ensuring their effectiveness, safety, and monitoring clinical progress.

• Provide brief supportive interventions and psychoeducation in conjunction with medication management.

• Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, and care coordinators through regular case discussions.

• Keep accurate and timely clinical records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Inform patients and families about diagnoses, medications, treatment options, and anticipated outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must possess an active, unrestricted PMHNP license in Maryland.

• Preference for candidates with multi-state or compact licensure.

• Board certification as PMHNP-BC is required.

• An active DEA license is necessary.

• A master's or doctoral degree from an accredited PMHNP program is essential.

• Experience or a keen interest in working with children, adolescents, and families is important.

• Ability to work independently in a telehealth setting is required.

• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and authentic empathy are essential qualities.

• Availability in the afternoons, evenings, and weekends is needed.
