Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• You will manage a part-time caseload, delivering comprehensive psychiatric care to children, adolescents, and young adults through telehealth services.

• Availability during afternoons, evenings, and weekends is essential, as these are the times when families can attend appointments.

• Perform thorough psychiatric evaluations and establish evidence-based diagnoses.

• Create personalized treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families.

• Prescribe and oversee psychotropic medications, assessing their effectiveness and making necessary adjustments.

• Offer brief supportive interventions and psychoeducation in conjunction with medication management.

• Work together with therapists, psychiatrists, and care coordinators during regular case review meetings.

• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

• Inform families about diagnoses, treatment alternatives, and expectations throughout the process.

⛳️ Requirements

• An active and unrestricted PMHNP license in Maryland (multi-state or compact licenses are preferred).

• Board certification as a PMHNP-BC.

• A valid DEA license.

• A master's or doctoral degree from an accredited PMHNP program.

• Experience with or a strong interest in working with youth and families.

• Ability to work independently in a telehealth setting.

• Exceptional clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and authentic empathy.
