PSC Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Confirms test requisitions by cross-referencing information with orders and requisition documentation.

• Verifies patient identity by reviewing patient identification.

• Acquires blood specimens by executing venipunctures and finger sticks.

• Preserves specimen integrity by employing aseptic techniques.

• Monitors collected specimens by initialing, dating, and documenting collection times.

• Ensures quality results by adhering to established procedures and testing schedules.

• Addresses unusual test orders by reaching out to the physician or reference laboratory.

• Enhances the reputation of phlebotomy by taking responsibility for fulfilling new requests.

• Reports any issues to the internal management leadership team.

• Aids in the management of phlebotomy equipment related to the patient service center.

• May involve travel for the replenishment of supplies.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in phlebotomy.

• Over 5 years of high-level customer care experience.

• Experience in managing or supervising phlebotomy operations and teams is preferred.

• A BS/BA degree is preferred.

• A High School Diploma (or equivalent) is required.

• Phlebotomy Certification (or equivalent) is preferred, unless mandated otherwise by state regulations.

• Previous experience in financial and budgetary matters is preferred.

• Bilingual language skills are preferred.
