This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Provides support to all Derick Dermatology providers through patient follow-up communications, which include pathology/laboratory results, scheduling follow-up appointments, addressing prescription inquiries, processing records requests, and coordinating care with external providers.
• Oversees and monitors lesions that necessitate tracking until they are fully resolved.
• Ensures that outstanding or unfinished tasks remain at a manageable level across various systems: phone, voicemail, fax, contact management, internal calls, emails, EMR, internal pathology systems, and patient portals.
• Maintains personal phone system performance metrics in Phone Queue and Answer Rates to achieve team objectives.
• Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Official High School Transcripts, Diploma or Equivalency Certificate.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology.
• Demonstrates friendliness, politeness, and professionalism with excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in the use of an EMR system (Electronic Medical Records), preferably Nextech.
• Background in Medical Assisting is preferred.
