This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support the Provider Relations Manager in managing the dental Provider Relations function.
• Guide, mentor, and enhance the Provider Relations team through meetings, regular check-ins, constructive feedback, career development, and engagement initiatives.
• Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for intricate provider, claims, contract, credentialing, directory, and operational matters.
• Ensure staff accountability for quality, productivity, service, documentation, and performance metrics.
• Supervise provider outreach, education, orientation, and engagement across various dental product lines.
• Offer training and assistance on eligibility, claims submission, payment processes, prior authorization, directories, portals, and administrative workflows.
• Manage provider interaction records, outreach documentation, office visit notes, concerns, action items, and issue resolution.
• Track provider capacity, performance, network adequacy, geographic access, network composition, and market trends.
• Collaborate with Network Recruitment on contracting, recruitment, network expansion, and adequacy initiatives.
• Partner with Credentialing on credentialing, recredentialing, document intake, inquiries, and escalations.
• Evaluate provider, claims, directory, access, and operational data to uncover trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Promote the adoption of portals, digital tools, electronic transactions, and standardized procedures.
• Design and execute cross-functional operational and network solutions.
• Lead or assist in corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Attend work-related events and conferences, representing the organization in a professional manner.
• Execute additional Provider Relations and network management responsibilities and special projects.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; experience may substitute for education.
• Associate degree or higher is preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in dental provider relations, dental health plan operations, network management, or related fields in government and/or commercial sectors.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience, including direct supervision, team leadership, project leadership, process ownership, or similar responsibilities.
• A valid driver's license with proof of auto insurance and the ability to use your own vehicle.
• Intermediate skills in PowerPoint.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, databases, and provider documentation/data-analysis systems.
• Familiarity with dental health plan operations, provider contracts and agreements, claims, credentialing, contracting, provider directories, and network adequacy principles.
• Capability to assess provider performance, network adequacy, geographic access, capacity, and operational metrics.
• Ability to analyze network composition and market conditions.
• Proficient in communicating data-informed insights through written summaries, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
