Provider Operations

Posted 6 days ago

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the proactive monitoring of provider API health across more than 50 banking connections. Keep track of bank data quality metrics, API response times, and connectivity status. Detect and investigate anomalies — when the time-to-authorize increases for a high-volume provider, you will be the one to notice, investigate, and respond. Regularly maintain and update the provider status channel to ensure support, customer success, and product teams have accurate, real-time visibility.

• Oversee the SWIFT exception queue, resolving repair cases and coordinating with banks and/or clients to eliminate blockers. Manage provider verification workflows across SWIFT, Plaid, Blink, and other connectivity channels, ensuring that provider data in Circit's systems remains accurate and up-to-date.

• Assist in the activation process for new bank connections — liaising between Circit's engineering team and bank technical contacts to facilitate smooth go-lives. Keep the provider database updated with precise coverage, authentication types, product support details, and connection status.

• Offer post-go-live support for clients on newly activated bank connections. Develop and maintain client authorization guides. Act as the operational link when clients face provider-specific issues, communicating with banks on their behalf to resolve any blockers.

• Dedicate 20-30% of your time working closely with the product team, providing operational insights that shape roadmap priorities. Identify trends from provider monitoring that highlight necessary product enhancements. Contribute to defining data quality standards and documenting admin panel processes for the broader team.

• Create and maintain operational playbooks for provider monitoring, exception handling, and activation processes. Spot recurring issues and suggest automation or process enhancements. Play a role in the provider management vision — making provider information self-serviceable for customer success and support teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in operations, technical support, implementation, or a related field — preferably in fintech, SaaS, banking, or technology.

• Data-driven mindset — you approach tasks with an emphasis on dashboards, metrics, and trends. Capable of reading and interpreting monitoring data, identifying anomalies across extensive datasets, and investigating root causes. Basic SQL or data querying skills are a significant advantage.

• Proficiency in AI as a fundamental skill — you routinely utilize AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, or similar) to enhance daily productivity — for data analysis, drafting communications, triaging issues, and automating repetitive tasks. You comprehend the strengths and limitations of AI and apply critical judgment on AI outputs instead of accepting them without scrutiny.

• Understanding of APIs — familiar with what APIs are, how REST APIs function, and the meanings of terms like OAuth, webhooks, and authentication flows (you do not need to build APIs, but you should grasp how bank API connectivity operates).

• Excellent written communication skills — capable of crafting clear, professional messages for bank technical contacts, internal teams, and client-facing stakeholders.

• Proactive problem-solving mindset — you identify issues before they escalate and follow through independently.

• Strong organizational skills — able to manage multiple provider relationships and operational workflows simultaneously without oversight.

• Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in open banking, bank connectivity, or financial services operations.

• Familiarity with SWIFT messaging, bank connectivity protocols, or API aggregation platforms.

• Experience with monitoring or observability tools (such as Datadog, Grafana, Azure Monitor, or similar).

• Experience using ticketing systems (like Jira, Intercom, Zendesk, DevOps).

• Understanding of data quality concepts and interpretation of DQ metrics across large datasets.

• Exposure to banking or API connectivity operations from either the banking or fintech perspective.

• Interest in pursuing a career in product management.

🏝️ Benefits

• Competitive salary plus commission based on sales contracts, with the potential for equity.

• A small, friendly team environment that encourages autonomy for you to manage your own time.

• Remote work and flexible hours.

• Excellent opportunities for career advancement through hands-on experience.

• Encouragement of freedom of expression.
