Provider Enrollment Specialist – Medicaid

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Review, process, and oversee Medicaid provider enrollment and revalidation applications.

• Ensure all application data is accurate, complete, and in compliance with Medicaid guidelines.

• Identify any missing or incomplete documentation and proactively follow up with providers to obtain necessary information.

• Maintain thorough and accurate records of application statuses, outreach efforts, and supporting documents.

• Effectively communicate with providers regarding application requirements, deficiencies, and subsequent steps.

• Collaborate with client representatives and internal leadership to address pending questions, escalations, or obstacles hindering application approval.

• Monitor assigned workload to guarantee timely processing and adherence to set turnaround times.

• Escalate complex issues or policy-related inquiries to leadership when appropriate.

• Uphold confidentiality and protect sensitive provider and organizational information.

• Engage in team meetings, training sessions, and initiatives for process improvement.

• Assist with additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; some college education is preferred.

• 1–3 years of experience in healthcare administration, Medicaid enrollment, claims processing, or similar transaction-based roles is preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.

• Experience with Medicaid guidelines or provider enrollment systems is highly desirable.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to review documents for accuracy and compliance are preferred.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are preferred.

• Ability to manage multiple applications simultaneously and achieve productivity goals is preferred.
