Proposal Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Overseeing and continuously enhancing our procurement response and grant application procedures for K-12 district and state-level RFI, RFQ, and RFPs.

• Tracking K-12 state and district-level procurement and grant opportunities across various databases, procurement platforms, and those provided by our consultants.

• Investigating prospect districts’ leadership, mission, learning strategies, and objectives to customize RFP responses to meet their unique requirements.

• Evaluating procurement requirements to determine alignment with our products and overall terms of service.

• Suggesting suitable procurement opportunities to the team.

• Organizing and facilitating effective Proposal Kickoff meetings and daily/weekly status calls, ensuring that activities and deliverables comply with the Proposal Development Plan.

• Monitoring procurement opportunities in Salesforce.

• Collaborating with relevant cross-functional stakeholders to create and manage the existing content library.

• Ensuring the quality and presentation of final proposal deliverables through thorough quality assurance checks on draft and finalized documents.

• Guaranteeing the timely submission of complete and accurate proposals.

• Managing the completion, submission, and tracking of Data Privacy Agreements (DPAs), vendor questionnaires, and other necessary submissions for prospective and current districts, along with schools and districts utilizing the free version of Khan Academy.

• Working closely with Khan Academy's sales, legal, security, and accessibility teams to handle vendor document requests from schools, districts, and state educational departments.

• Conducting proposal retrospectives, documenting lessons learned, and implementing process enhancements to boost efficiency and effectiveness.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in managing proposals, grants, procurement responses, or other intricate cross-functional projects, preferably within the K-12 education or EdTech sectors.

• Proficiency in using standard English writing styles to compose proposal sections, including information gathering and synthesis from various sources (subject matter experts, previous proposals) into a cohesive, engaging, and persuasive final product.

• High level of proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), Adobe Acrobat, and Salesforce.

• Experience with Grammarly or other AI-related tools for streamlining responses, editing, and similar tasks.
