Property & Legal Operations Manager, Bilingual French – English

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Dominican Republic.

📋 Description

• **Immediate Court File Readiness:**

• Upon the opening of a legal file, it is essential to prepare the **complete evidence folder promptly**.

• All documents, proof of service, and lease copies must be systematically organized and "court-ready" from the moment the case initiates—**do not postpone until the court date.**

• **Proactive Lease Renewals:**

• Monitor lease expiration dates on a daily basis.

• Prepare and dispatch renewal notifications **at least 5 months** prior to the end date to guarantee no deadlines are missed.

• **Strict Rent Collection:**

• Daily oversight of building management software.

• On the 2nd of each month, issue firm reminders via text and email.

• Keep a comprehensive "paper trail" of all communications for legal validation.

• **Legal & Bailiff Coordination:**

• File cases with the court for non-payment or lease infractions.

• Oversee the bailiff (huissier) process and maintain a detailed log of submissions and service times.

• **Vacancy Management:**

• Keep a current **Google Sheet** detailing vacant units and imminent move-outs.

• Respond promptly to tenants attempting to break leases, clearly stating they remain **fully accountable** for their contract.


⛳️ Requirements

• **Bilingualism:** Candidates must be fluent in both English and French (essential for legal documentation).

• **Strong Organizational Skills (“Top-of-Mind” Organization):** Ability to efficiently manage both personal and court calendars independently without the need for reminders.

• **Professional & Firm Communication:** Proficient in managing challenging conversations with tenants while maintaining a professional, assertive, and composed demeanor.

• **Proactive Mindset:** Capable of foreseeing potential issues and taking the initiative to devise solutions (e.g., planning for vacancies or operational requirements).

• Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in property management or legal operations within a real estate context.
