This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +44 more states.
β’ Investigate and address Homeowners claims of moderate complexity in a timely and efficient manner.
β’ Document findings with photographs, measurements, and recorded interviews as necessary, prepare a repair estimate to reflect damages, and maintain detailed file notes.
β’ Utilize imagery and advanced video technology to collaborate with onsite vendors and insured parties to identify damages and create damage estimates from a virtual environment.
β’ Evaluate the facts collected during the investigation against the policy to ascertain claim coverage; approve or deny coverage as necessary.
β’ Set reserve amounts within the designated settlement authority limit and negotiate claim settlements; refer claims exceeding personal authority limits to a supervisor for approval.
β’ Responsible for effectively and promptly communicating with insured individuals and/or their representatives to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
β’ Bachelorβs degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
β’ Ability to secure state-specific property claims licensing, as required.
β’ Must successfully participate in and complete a formal property claims training program, which may occur in person, virtually, or through a combination of both.
β’ 3-5+ years of relevant industry experience is preferred.
β’ Prior experience with estimating software such as Xactimate is essential.
β’ Background in a related field: experience in property claims, customer service, construction, restoration, or mitigation.
β’ Recognized for clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
β’ Bilingual skills and/or prior military experience is an advantage.
