This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage a diverse array of BPS and P&C functions that assist the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) national staff, plan participants, UU Affinity organizations, and vendors focusing specifically on total rewards.
• Deliver responsive, strategic, and results-driven front-line insurance services and support to all UUA and Beacon Press staff and stakeholders.
• Enhance the BPS department and Property & Casualty (P&C) priorities of production and service functions to improve annual renewal outcomes.
• Responsible for providing high-quality and efficient service to both UUA congregations/Affinity membership and external vendor partners through daily interactions.
• Effectively manage congregation renewal inquiries and resolve P&C matters as they arise.
• Cultivate and strengthen relationships with congregations and Affinity partners within the UU ecosystem by offering exceptional ongoing support that aligns with our mission and values.
• Collect exposure information, run queries, conduct variance analyses, and update carrier performance dashboards for underwriting and claims.
• Interpret regulatory compliance and risk trends, assess congregation risk alternatives, and ensure policy data complies with governance standards.
• Generate documents, certificates, and other materials using relevant systems and resources, which may involve direct communication with congregations, forms, certificates, reports, etc.
• Coordinate with appropriate carrier and Broker resources to meet the P&C insurance needs of congregations.
• Collaborate across the BPS department to support operational process flow.
• Manage all BPS vendor invoices.
• Conduct quarterly reviews and updates of the congregations' P&C premium summary sheet.
• Assist the BPS Director with overall P&C workflow processes.
• Provide direct administrative support to the Director of Benefits Plans & Services.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, Vice Presidents, or the President.
• Minimum education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in General Insurance, Claims, and Risk Management, with a strong preference for Property & Casualty experience.
• AIC, ARM, CIC, or INS Certification is required in lieu of a formal educational degree.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient knowledge of P&C, Insurance Claims, Risk Management, and Risk Management Systems.
• Awareness of anti-racism, anti-oppression, and multicultural issues.
• Work or lived experience with BIPOC communities is especially valued.
