This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Utilizes independent judgment and discretion in managing all varieties of property claims.

• Performs investigations, conducts interviews, and assesses damages, traveling to damage sites within the assigned territory or elsewhere when necessary.

• Develops estimates, provides recommendations, addresses coverage inquiries, and manages litigation.

• Establishes and maintains reserves, reviews reports and related documentation, directs experts, determines coverage and claim values, issues or denies payments, and negotiates claims with plaintiff attorneys as needed.

• Records details in claim files and submits reports for closure.

• Identifies subrogation opportunities and takes appropriate actions.

• Manages the assigned territory and ensures claims are resolved.

• Collaborates with Agents and district sales managers on shared concerns.

• Supports the claims supervisor or acts in their stead, including representing the company in legal proceedings when required.

• Engages in industry-related training programs and continues education to stay updated on policy changes, interpretations, or new legislation.

• Aids in the training of new claims adjusters.

• Participates in the Catastrophe Team as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with five years of claims handling experience, or equivalent; or a Bachelor’s Degree with two years of claims handling experience, or equivalent.

• The individual must reside in the designated territory unless a change is approved by the company.

• The role necessitates participation in the Catastrophe Team, which may involve travel on short notice to various locations for periods exceeding two consecutive weeks.

• Must be willing to obtain and maintain any necessary licenses.

• Successful completion of the Associate in Claims (AIC) program is preferred.

• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
