• Oversee the Quality segment of GSI NAM from inquiry through to order, order to remittance, including closeout and warranty aspects of projects.
• Identify, develop, and provide documented quality deliverables to both customers and suppliers.
• Support the project through inspections and factory acceptance testing.
• Collaborate closely with suppliers and subcontractors to meet equipment and construction needs.
• Ensure adherence to all quality requirements as per the Project Management process and GEV standards.
• Promote Quality Assurance and Quality Control across all execution areas.
• Guarantee the fulfillment of all contractual obligations made to the Customer.
• Lead project quality initiatives throughout the ITO and OTR phases.
• Create, implement, and maintain Project Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for project execution, supplier manufacturing, and site construction activities.
• Work in partnership with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to synchronize quality activities.
• Monitor project quality KPIs, address deviations, manage non-conformances, handle customer complaints, and implement corrective actions.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred, or alternatively in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 5 to 10+ years of experience in project quality, quality engineering, or quality management within high-voltage substations, transmission & distribution, EPC, or large infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing Project Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans, FAT/SAT activities, supplier quality oversight, and field construction quality programs.
• Strong understanding of relevant standards and requirements, including IEEE, ANSI, NEC, NEMA, and ISO 9001.
• Experience in managing non-conformances, CAPA, root cause analysis, audits, customer complaints, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, one-line diagrams, specifications, and technical documents.
• Technical familiarity with equipment such as transformers, switchgear, control panels, prefabricated/control buildings, cabling, welding, and fabrication.
• Experience with quality tools and systems, including dashboards, NCR/CAPA systems, inspection and test planning, and advanced problem-solving tools.
• Strong project management, communication, influencing, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Power BI, SAP, document control systems, or similar tools.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel up to 75%.
