This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• The main duties will involve conducting structural analysis and overseeing project management for complete building design and delegated steel design projects.
• Capable of leading a team of structural engineers to create and finalize deliverables for full building design and delegated steel design projects.
• Typical projects will include designing steel structures, concrete design, designing steel connections, miscellaneous steel design, and engineering for erection.
• Additional tasks will encompass the development of calculations, reviewing steel shop drawings, preparing submittals, creating RFIs, and developing new calculations to improve efficiencies.
• Employ analysis software programs such as Tekla Structural Designer, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, RISA Suite, Revit, and Ram Connection.
• Evaluate 3-D BIM models to assist in building design, connection design, and shop drawing evaluations.
• Secure planning and building regulations approvals.
• A Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• A Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering is advantageous.
• PE certification is required.
• SE certification is a bonus.
• Over 6 years of experience in structural engineering.
• A comprehensive understanding of applicable building codes, materials, and standards.
• A strong enthusiasm and desire to succeed and enhance technical skills.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary.
• Experience and capability in project management.
• Proficiency with any of the following software is beneficial: Tekla Structural Designer, Excel, Idea Statica, BlueBeam, RISA Suite, Revit, and Ram Connection.
• Strong attention to detail, logical problem-solving abilities, and excellent organizational skills.
• Capability to excel under pressure and meet deadlines.
