Project Engineer, Construction Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Handling submittals and change requests.

• Managing document control.

• Overseeing field quality control.

• Processing invoices and assisting with billing activities.

• Aiding in the development of scopes of work and contracts.

• Supporting schedule updates.

• Ensuring compliance with contract terms, plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards, while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

• Building and sustaining positive relationships with subcontractors.

• Collaborating effectively with the project manager, superintendent, project team, and subcontractors to achieve project success.

• Communicating effectively and motivating workers, subcontractors, and all stakeholders on the job site.

• Training to advance towards a role as a Project Manager or Superintendent.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Preferably at least 2 years of experience in the commercial construction sector.

• Experience in water treatment, wastewater construction, or related heavy civil construction is advantageous.

• Familiarity with all facets of the construction process.

• Knowledge and experience in reading and understanding plans and specifications to perform detailed estimate-level takeoffs is beneficial.

• Proficient in computer skills and reporting, with familiarity in Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, and other construction management software being a plus.

• Professional attributes: problem solver, self-starter, detail-oriented, and punctual.

• Willingness to travel to job sites up to 75% of the time.
