This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Accountable for spearheading sourcing-driven initiatives in collaboration with contract manufacturers within an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Manage the implementation of supplier-focused projects, encompassing supplier onboarding, manufacturing transfers, cost reduction strategies, capacity expansion, and supply continuity efforts.
• Serve as a strategic ally to Sourcing, ensuring that contract manufacturers operate in accordance with commercial strategies, operational needs, and long-term supply goals.
• Execute supplier-related projects aimed at enhancing cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and risk management throughout the contract manufacturing network.
• Facilitate collaboration among Sourcing, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Legal teams.
• Monitor and oversee project financials, including quoted versus actual costs, tooling investments, cost savings, and year-over-year productivity objectives.
• Recognize and address risks associated with supplier capacity, lead times, quality, and geographical exposure.
• Provide consistent project status updates and KPI reports to Strategic Sourcing and Operations leadership.
• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in project management, strategic sourcing, supplier management, or industrial manufacturing.
• Proven experience in managing contract manufacturers or external production suppliers.
• Established ability to lead intricate, cross-functional initiatives with external partners.
• Strong commercial and analytical capabilities concerning costs, contracts, and supplier performance.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification is preferred.
• Background in industrial, heavy equipment, automotive, or discrete manufacturing sectors.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, assembly, and casting.
• Experience in supporting global or multi-site supplier networks.
