Project Manager – Municipal Projects

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Develops project scopes, timelines, and budgets while monitoring progress to ensure financial success and timely delivery of projects.

• Oversees intricate contract negotiations.

• Directs the implementation of project plans by assembling and managing project teams, coordinating the availability of internal resources, and assigning individual responsibilities to ensure that technical skills, capabilities, and expertise align with project goals.

• Tracks project progress and evaluates performance, ensuring that deliverables remain within the defined scope, timeline, and budget.

• Manages change requests, applies risk management techniques, and executes strategies to mitigate adverse financial impacts on projects.

• Facilitates detailed reviews of technical work to guarantee high-quality outputs and compliance with the terms, conditions, and specifications outlined in project contracts.

• Fosters an ongoing positive relationship with clients, emphasizing exceptional customer service to secure future opportunities.

• Records all project deliverables and maintains comprehensive documentation, including correspondence, design plans, and other project-related files.

• Guides team members on project management best practices utilizing Olsson Project Management programs and other project support service resources.

⛳️ Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively and thrive in a team environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

• Experience in project management, including scope, timeline, and budget oversight.

• Over 8 years of experience in site design and development.

• Must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license.

• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
