This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.
• Take ownership of comprehensive HV and site-wide commissioning project planning and control, which includes establishing the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), baseline schedules, cash flow forecasts, procurement milestones, and resource plans.
• Facilitate weekly schedule assessments, recovery planning, and critical path management in collaboration with EPC and site leadership.
• Oversee HV and site-wide commissioning cost management and forecasting, incorporating monthly EAC/EVA updates, validation of change order pricing, contingency management, pay application review and approval, and ensuring alignment of financial reporting with Project Controls and Finance.
• Manage contract administration, ensuring clarity of scope, compliance with deliverables, and adherence to change management protocols; draft, negotiate, and propose change orders and claims with comprehensive analyses of schedule and cost impacts.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution to guarantee design completeness, permitting compliance, interconnection readiness, and adherence to Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) standards.
• Implement risk management processes throughout the project lifecycle by maintaining the risk register, quantifying impacts, enacting mitigations, and escalating strategic risks to senior leadership with actionable recommendations.
• Promote a culture of safety on-site and ensure compliance by integrating HSSE requirements into schedules and work plans, while ensuring EPC compliance with safety KPIs and incident reporting.
• Cultivate relationships with external stakeholders, including utilities, Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), landowners, third-party inspectors, and lender engineers, to ensure timely reviews, approvals, and alignment on critical path issues.
• Generate executive-ready reports and presentations that summarize progress, risks, cash flow, and projected outcomes for internal leadership and, when applicable, for board-level reviews.
• Mentor and support other members of the project team by delegating workstreams, offering technical direction, and fostering execution discipline across the team.
• Lead the process of capturing lessons learned and promoting continuous improvement, gathering insights during project closeout and providing recommendations for process and contract enhancements to Construction leadership.
• Work collaboratively with individual departments and across different functions within the organization.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, electrical engineering, business, or relevant field experience.
• Experience:
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in HV construction and commissioning project management.
• At least 2 years of experience managing utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of learning company-specific software programs, tools, processes, and machinery.
• Skills/Attributes:
• In-depth understanding of schedule and cost controls, including critical path analysis, recovery planning, earned value, EAC forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Strong skills in EPC contract administration and negotiation, able to structure clear change orders, resolve claims, and ensure accountability to contractual obligations.
• Technical knowledge in utility-scale HV construction, including civil works, MV/HV systems, SCADA, protection/controls, energy storage technology, and commissioning sequences.
• Proficient in identifying systemic and emergent risks, quantifying impacts, and applying mitigation strategies that safeguard COD and budget objectives.
• Ability to foster trust and effectively collaborate with utilities, AHJs, inspectors, lender engineers, and EPC executives to resolve critical path challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce concise, decision-ready reports for senior leadership and guide the project team towards common goals.
• Proven ability to lead highly effective teams, both internally and externally.
• Self-motivated with a capacity to tackle complex problems and manage competing priorities, demonstrating a high level of detail and organization.
• Effective verbal and written communication capabilities.
