This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.
• Oversee the entire lifecycle of multiple projects concurrently across five states, guiding each one from initial identification through planning, design, permitting, construction, and financial closeout while ensuring accountability for all results.
• Direct cross-functional project teams comprising architects, engineers, contractors, property managers, real estate brokers, environmental consultants, and client stakeholders to successfully deliver retail upfits, base building enhancements, security improvements, signage installations, and ADA compliance projects.
• Provide weekly updates on project status to leadership and maintain real-time tracking in client web-based tools, reporting on schedule progress, budget status, and risk management across your portfolio.
• Create detailed project documentation, including charters, due diligence reports, budgets, schedules, meeting minutes, funding requests, status reports, and punch lists that consistently meet client approval.
• Manage vendor relationships with general contractors, architectural and engineering firms, security providers, and specialty contractors to ensure complete adherence to policies, procedures, and project requirements.
• Develop and implement risk management plans that safeguard critical equipment and environments, guiding teams through established work authorization processes to avert incidents.
• At least 3 years of project management experience covering all facets of design and construction project delivery from inception to closeout.
• Proven experience in defining project scope, preparing precise budgets, creating realistic timelines, conducting contract negotiations, and managing financial performance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera), and web-based project management applications, with the ability to quickly adapt to client-specific platforms.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create professional documentation and interact effectively with diverse stakeholders, including executives, technical teams, and vendors.
• Willingness and capability to travel regularly throughout Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida to manage projects and conduct site visits.
• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field that provides foundational knowledge of construction processes and project delivery.
