Project Manager, Climate & Decarbonization Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Perform Carbon Zero assessments, energy audits, and retro-commissioning initiatives.

• Create Net Zero Carbon Strategies at both portfolio and asset levels.

• Oversee the development, assessment, and execution of energy efficiency projects.

• Analyze HVAC and BAS systems to pinpoint low- and no-cost energy-saving opportunities.

• Possess experience in deep energy retrofits or net zero carbon roadmaps.

• Experience in formulating sustainability strategies is considered an asset.

• Condense findings into comprehensive and professional reports.

• Deliver findings and recommendations to clients effectively.

• Travel to various sites for audits, including throughout Canada and occasionally in the U.S.

• Consistently exhibit expertise in energy performance optimization, water efficiency, relevant policies and programs, and sustainability within the built environment.

• Show high energy for the business, inspire others, and be willing to take calculated risks and make difficult decisions.

• Cultivate, maintain, and manage client relationships while addressing conflict resolution.

• Lead the planning, evaluation, and execution of energy efficiency and environmentally responsible projects of all kinds.

• Maintain a proactive approach to fulfilling client and project needs in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

• Foster new and existing business relationships.

• Collaborate with JLL colleagues, partners, the CaGBC, and clients.

• Promote an ethical culture of accountability, excellence, inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation.

• Strategically network and position JLL as a frontrunner in sustainability and NZC services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in conducting Energy Audits, Retro-Commissioning, and developing Net Zero Carbon Audits and Roadmaps.

• Degree in Engineering, Building Sciences, Architecture, or a related field.

• Familiarity with RET Screen is an asset.

• P.Eng and/or C.E.M. certifications are required.

• Additional certifications/licenses (e.g., ASHRAE BEMP, LEED AP, WELL AP) are advantageous.

• Strong interpersonal skills, articulate communication, responsiveness, and exceptional organizational abilities are essential.
