• Complete project management from inception to delivery. Oversee multiple simultaneous client projects throughout their lifecycle. Ensure scope, timeline, and budget are managed effectively so engineers can concentrate on technical tasks while clients are kept updated.
• Ownership of client relationships. Act as the main point of contact for your portfolio. Manage status updates, facilitate working sessions, address escalations, and maintain engagement with clients between projects to nurture relationships.
• Drive account growth. Identify opportunities for clients to expand their engagement with Trail of Bits. Transition clients from one-off assessments to retainers, follow up on existing SOW options, and initiate sales when genuine growth opportunities arise.
• Collaborate with sales. Manage the returning-client sales cycle in partnership with our sales team. Ensure that when a familiar client returns, the transition appears seamless to them.
• Coordination within the organization. Collaborate closely with Engineering Directors and engineers to allocate project resources, manage scheduling using Float, track progress in Asana, and keep deal and account information up-to-date in HubSpot.
• Cross-functional assistance. Extend support to the team beyond your designated projects. This includes assisting marketing in boosting client participation at industry events, contributing to internal process enhancements, and stepping in wherever the team requires support.
• Experience in project management within professional services. Proven track record managing client-facing projects at a consulting, advisory, or service firm. You have overseen scope, timeline, and budget for several concurrent projects and are the go-to person for clients when changes occur. This role is not focused on product implementation.
• Ownership of the client lifecycle. Demonstrated capability in managing client relationships throughout and between engagements, not limited to a single project's duration. You proactively consider future engagements while currently involved, aiming to enhance the relationship.
• Contribution to account growth. Experience in expanding client accounts through increased scopes, retainers, or subsequent work. You're adept at making service suggestions to clients in a manner that feels genuine rather than like a hard sell.
• Partnership with sales. Experience collaborating with a sales team to scope, propose, and secure work with both new and returning clients. You understand the distinction between managing client relationships and encroaching on the sales team's territory.
• Ability to operate without predefined processes. Proven experience taking initiative in situations where processes are developing or unclear. You create functional processes that suit the current situation and refine them as you gain insights, rather than waiting for someone else to outline the procedure.
• Proficient in technical communication. Experience in conveying technical concepts to non-technical client stakeholders and translating client business objectives into actionable items for engineering teams. While coding skills are not required, you must be able to engage in relevant discussions.
• Communication with executive stakeholders. Experience presenting project statuses, risks, and recommendations to executive and C-suite clients.
• Integration of AI in daily activities. Familiarity with utilizing AI tools as an integral part of your workflow, rather than just for enhancing a resume. Our company is AI-native, and our PMs use Claude on a daily basis. If you have reservations about AI in general, this may not be the right fit.
• Proficiency with tools. Hands-on experience with Slack, Google Workspace, and project management tools such as Asana, GitHub, or similar. Familiarity with HubSpot or another CRM is advantageous.
• Competitive salary paired with performance-driven bonuses.
• Comprehensive company-funded insurance packages, including health, dental, vision, disability, and life coverage.
• A robust 401(k) plan featuring a 5% match of your base salary.
• 20 days of paid vacation with the option for more, in line with jurisdictional regulations.
• Four months of parental leave to celebrate the arrival of new family members.
• Our team operates globally and is remote-first. However, if you wish to relocate to NYC, we provide $10,000 in relocation assistance to facilitate your move.
• A $1,000 Work-from-Home stipend to establish a comfortable and efficient home office environment.
• An annual $750 Learning & Development stipend to encourage ongoing personal and professional growth.
• Company-sponsored celebrations for the entire team, including travel and accommodations, to strengthen community ties and acknowledge achievements.
• Matching philanthropic contributions up to $2,000 per year.
