This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Manage and coordinate a variety of civil construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints.
• Mentor, coach, and provide support to Project Superintendents.
• Facilitate and oversee the partnership with Owners/Clients in the field.
• Exemplify company culture and core values through leadership.
• Identify required resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, while keeping budget constraints in mind.
• Supervise subcontractors to guarantee quality standards and compliance with specifications.
• Assess project progress and generate comprehensive reports.
• Plan and coordinate projects to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Maintain regular communication with clients regarding budget, schedule, and quantity tracking.
• Ensure budget compliance and implement necessary adjustments quickly when unforeseen complications arise.
• Assist the superintendent in managing project requirements and directing daily field activities as needed.
• Ensure that safety standards and regulations are strictly followed at the job site.
• Coordinate and communicate with the team regarding contract modifications and ensure compliance from all parties.
• Collaborate with clients, supervisory personnel, subcontractors, and engineers to address and resolve issues.
• Lead and manage necessary actions in response to delays, adverse weather conditions, or emergencies on construction sites.
• Build and sustain positive working relationships with all stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with key vendors and subcontractors.
• Conduct precise project and budget tracking.
• Issue and update One Calls as required.
• Ensure all Submittals and RFI’s for the project are submitted and tracked for compliance.
• Collaborate with the Project Engineer on project specifications, Submittals, RFI’s, Change Orders, and Quantity Tracking.
• Oversee multiple crews/projects as necessary.
• Participate in crew scheduling and assess manpower needs.
• Work closely with the Director of Project Management to provide project updates and support strategic forecasting for ongoing projects.
• Collaborate with the Director of Project Management to ensure accurate monthly billing is prepared and verified.
• 3-5 years of civil experience.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience with Procore is preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
• Ability to remain adaptable and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
• Capacity to make informed and prompt decisions, particularly under pressure or when unexpected issues arise.
• Proficient in multitasking while analyzing and resolving issues.
• Strong understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Professional demeanor in all situations.
• Team player with demonstrated leadership skills.
• Comfortable delegating tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential for understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and engaging in team communications.
