Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• This position is accountable for spearheading and executing essential business and operational projects within the VMS payments ecosystem.

• Oversee multiple simultaneous workstreams, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and guarantee that projects are completed effectively, in compliance, and with commercial success.

• Play a pivotal role in expanding our PayFac offering by facilitating merchant migrations, onboarding reseller partners, managing operational and compliance efforts, and coordinating the implementation of new payment technologies and features.

• Lead migration initiatives that transition merchants from third-party acquirers to the VMS PayFac platform.

• Oversee comprehensive migration workstreams that encompass operations, compliance, technical integration, onboarding, and customer communication.

• Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders to ensure seamless migration experiences with minimal disruption for merchants.

• Monitor migration performance, timelines, risks, and commercial results.

• Assist in optimizing the onboarding, underwriting, and activation processes to enhance merchant conversion rates.

• Manage the onboarding and integration of new reseller and software partners into the VMS payments ecosystem.

• Coordinate technical, commercial, operational, and go-to-market workstreams to assure successful launches.

• Serve as the primary coordination point between internal teams, external partners, and third-party vendors.

• Ensure that partners are operationally prepared to successfully launch and expand payment offerings.

• Drive project plans, timelines, dependency management, and stakeholder reporting throughout the integration process.

• Lead internal operational and compliance-related initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in payments, fintech, merchant acquiring, PayFac, or regulated financial services sectors.

• Strong knowledge of: Merchant acquiring, Payment processing, Merchant onboarding (KYC/KYB), AML and compliance requirements, Settlement and reconciliation, Payment operations, Card scheme and regulatory environments.

• Experience with payment gateways, acquiring banks, or embedded payment platforms is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated experience managing intricate, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.

• Strong organizational and program management skills.

• Experience coordinating technical, operational, compliance, and commercial workstreams simultaneously.

• Capability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, growing business environment.

• Excellent documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication abilities.
